Pregnancy Essentials: 10 Must-Have Products for Expecting Moms
Pregnancy is such an exciting and fun time, marked with so many changes; physically, mentally and emotionally. Some of those changes are welcomed but some can be a challenge. Here is a list of our top 10 pregnancy products to use during this exciting time!
Quality Maternity Clothes
As your body continues to change through all three trimesters, it is so important to invest in quality and comfy maternity clothes. Who doesn’t love a good, stretchy pair of leggings to relax in?!
Our top three maternity clothes picks are Motherhood Maternity, Target and Old Navy.
- Motherhood Maternity has great options at a slightly higher price. I love that they have dress options for special events and often have shirts in bundles.
- Target and Old Navy have fun, casual options that are budget friendly. Both carry great staples that work for all trimesters.
DHA Prenatal Vitamin
A good prenatal vitamin with DHA is a must during pregnancy. I would buy these while you are trying to get pregnant and get in the habit of taking them each day.
The top three brands our momma friends recommend are:
Each contains essential nutrients for pregnancy and range from $10-$40 per bottle fitting anyone’s price point!
Pregnancy App
There are very few things quite as fun as checking your baby’s growth each week of pregnancy! Who doesn’t love to picture their little nugget the size of various fruits, vegetables or even animals! Ovia and The Bump are our most recommended apps.
A good water bottle
Unless you are amazing at drinking water, chances are you will need to up your water intake during pregnancy. It is worth it to invest in a quality water bottle that helps you to reach your water goals. And if you decide to breastfeed, you’ll need to maintain a high water intake.
Liz and I are both huge Owala fans so that is our #1 pick 🙂
Comfy Undies
This is one of those changes that isn’t always fun in pregnancy as your body changes to grow a human. I remember being so sad as I went up a size in undies (and a bra) but what a small price to pay for the beauty of being able to grow a human inside your belly! Aerie has some really great options and often has some great deals.
Pregnancy Pillow
Not everyone needs one of these but man did I love mine! Towards the end of the third trimester, sleep was not comfortable for me in either pregnancy and having this giant pillow made such a difference for me. There are lots of great options out there but this is the one that I used: Momcozy Pregnancy Pillows
A fun journal
I liked being able to write all my questions to ask my doctor in one place and have a place to write down the things we talked about. I experienced a lot of worry during my pregnancy so having a place to go back and look at the answers that my doctor gave me to my questions was super helpful.
Prepped healthy snacks
As your hunger increases during pregnancy, it was helpful to have pre-made healthy snacks to grab. I definitely ate a whole pan of brownies in the third trimester in a matter of 24 hours but having healthy, ready to eat snacks helped when those cravings hit.
These Aussie Bites were among my favorites!
Belly Cream
The growing belly needs some extra good lotion to keep up! I loved the Burt’s Bees Belly Butter but any lotion that you really like that you can apply each day is a great idea.
Supportive family and friends!
Nothing quite compares to having supportive people to talk to during pregnancy. It is a time of so much joy and excitement but a lot of changes and hormonal changes can be tough. Surround yourself with people who you can talk to about the excitement and the hard times as you prepare for your sweet baby to arrive!
We are so excited for you!
With love,
Liz and Becca
